The Faces of the Financial Crisis

ANP Essay: About the CEOs who got very rich while their firms crumbled.

The U.S. financial system faces a grave crisis as investment giants teeter on the edge of collapse. These institutions aren't merely made of paper and percentages, though. They're led by people - people who've made some rotten decisions in recent years. Whereas we'll hear much in the coming weeks about the federal regulators who are scrambling to avert a disaster, we should also hear about the CEOs who got very rich while their firms crumbled.

This reminds me of the enron scandal... CEO's getting rich while the firm itself goes under.. Isnt that called embezzlement??

to the international financial crisis which is US-made one littel sad joke from Germany:
one of teh goverments banks have send 350Million€ - which is appr. 500Million$ - to the Lehman brothers after they where bankrupt, so you see how good the germans are to teh US - but only the bank people to the bank people; all this is paid by the taxes-payer, meens us the citizens of Germany.

These people should be stripped of all their assets down to their socks being auctioned off to pay for the billions of dollars they literally stole!! If this were the average citizen they would definitely be prosecuted and sent to prison for a long time and why do we, the working class have to pay for their mistakes? Hell I can't afford to buy a home myself and they probably own 4 or 5 themselves. Hey former CEO's will you rent me a room in one of your houses that I've helped pay for when I can no longer afford my little 2bdrm apt? CROOKS!!
