These issues can only be complicated by Global Warming which will affect every life on the planet regardless if the cause proves to be people or not.
A world at peace would have preempted these problems or be actively working on solving them. Today a world at war only pushes these problems toward greater complications, unnecessary suffering and death.
With the occurrence of any unexpected problems, such as hurricanes, tornadoes and severe storms, resources turned towards war are not available for aid. We have given up our reserves to invest more deeply in misery.
Now is the time to embrace world peace.
Peace may have seemed like an idealistic option once upon a time. Peace has emerged as the only viable solution for a sane and sustainable world.
Wasteful and abusive attitudes towards the environment and both wild and domesticated animals could be ignored in the past. Now abuse and other forms of waste can no longer be afforded much less hidden from the view of thoughtful creative people.
The world has forever been changed.
The basic conditions of current economics, commonly referred to as capitalism, can no longer function the same as it has for hundreds of years. The conditions that supported capitalism no longer exist.
Capitalism is based upon employees producing more value than they are paid. This basic relationship has always been a cornerstone of capitalistic economics.
Since those who work cannot afford everything they produce, capitalistic businesses must find markets outside of the capitalistic work force. Without these outside areas to sell the surplus value produced by employees capitalism would not be able to realize a profit.
Secondly, once a profit is realized by selling to outside markets then those profits must at least in part be used to expand the scope of capitalistic production. These requirements of capitalism to find new markets and to convert new lands to capitalistic production have always been part of capitalism.
These capitalistic requirements have ---------------------more at the link below..note, above link is not it....original would not work

As has been wisely said, "Be the change you want to see in the world."
If enough people change their minds to be peaceful themselves then peace has a lot greater odds of catching on for everyone.
Fortunately, we do see an analog to the technological Singularity occurring within consciousness and culture. Just as Moore's Law predicts that each successive technological innovation will take less and less time to emerge, we can actually see the same happening with cultural worldviews. For example, we can estimate a couple hundred thousand years of tribal cultures, ten thousand years of warlord cultures, a few thousand years of mythic traditional cultures, five hundred years of rational industrial cultures, and just over 50 years of pluralistic informational cultures, each new stage taking only a fraction of the time to emerge as the previous stage. We are now seeing a new stage of culture and consciousness beginning to emerge—a markedly Integral stage, capable of viewing the world through a meta-paradigmatic and multi-perspectival lens, holding all the world's knowledge, wisdom, and insight as a single living jewel. And as more and more Integral individuals come together, a powerful cultural force begins to sweep across the planet—one that is inherently more whole, more balanced, and more capable than anything the world has ever seen.
And to the extent that you are even vaguely interested in conversations like these, you are actually enacting and participating with the Singularity, at least in its conscious dimension. Today's Integral pioneers are the living ancestors of tomorrow's post-humans, standing in the convergence of all that is Beautiful, Good, and True. You are the Singularity, every breath rippling out to the edge of our shared future, echoing back as tomorrow's possibilities.

As we enter the New Age, our planet is in a state of flux...because of this, it is time to shape the present by reviewing the lessons of the past to insure a bright future, one that will harbor lasting peace...
Peace was once a normal condition of this planet. It is the human that disrupted that peaceful norm...now it is time we, humans, get back to the garden...
Good message, WorldPeace...

Tolerance of diversity, and a little common sense and knowledge, I think, are the ways to true peace.
Much of the world, as it seems now, is so caught up in being individualistic and unique compared to everyone else, and many to the point where the differences or religions of other people clash with their own beliefs resulting in their hatred, animosity and outright disdain for those people. The Nazis wanted to exterminate the Jews and Western civilizations that didn't adhere to their ideologies (basically rule the world)...Islamic extremists/terrorists want to wage their Jihad, 'Death to America' and the destruction of Israel and many with the intensely grounded belief that their religion is superior to all others and those who do not follow suite should be killed (not far off from the Nazis)...The KKK and their 'White Power' movement...these being some of the most extreme forms of intolerance of diversity. I personally believe that religion plays an important role in the overall intolerance and hatred that people have with the world around them...it seems more lives, throughout history, have been lost in the name of religion than any other source, yes? Another one is greed, plain and simple...'I want this', 'I want that', 'That oil is mine and I don't care if it's coming from your land it's still mine'....you get the picture.
There will always be differences of opinion....ALWAYS....and that will always lead to disagreement and/or debate...frankly, I don't think we could LIVE without difference, it keeps things interesting...what we need to work on is keeping our views and feelings from escalating into violence and full-fledged war, and keeping our children from learning the fine art of greed for the things they don't need and apathy for the world around them...and try our damnedest to have some sort of tolerance of difference and lack of discrimination and stereotyping.
'The world is my country, and doing good is my religion.'
-Thomas PaineThough...something tells me that the way the human mind works...true peace can never be achieved. Sorry to be the pessimist...

Peace has never and will never exist. It is not our nature, no matter how one believes we got here. We must have our opposite, we must compete, we must survive, and we must always try to be better than our counterpart. It's the way it is.
Take a look at ALL human history and you will notice only two things have lasted throughout all humanity: war and music. That's my opinion.

...is give everyone a chance to have some pizza in peace.
Actually it is the other way around since it is the separations and distortions that cause wars that are the illusions.
As James Joyce wisely said "History is a nightmare from which we are trying to awaken."
But the stages of developement are accelerating since it was around one hundred thousand years for hunting-gathering, one thousand year fir the agrarian, 100 years for the industrial and 50 years for the informational.
The thing is that it still seems to be a neck and neck race between the choices of Utopia and Oblivion going down to a photo finish.

Thank you so much worldpeacetv. Its imperative we find ways to feel peaceful on the inside as well as be peace as expression on the outer. Its a bit of a dance and jig to be waking up to the dark issues at hand - learn how to deal with what has been going on, and acknowledge the anger/frustration accompanying this "awakening", then move through it as quickly as possible and use that energy for positive change - it can be done! Taking some quiet time out and breathing love in and out of the heart space and through the body and auric field, even if for a few moments can be helpful to some - one way out of many!
