Stop obstructionist Republican filibustering! / Vote NO BAILOUT!!!

The Senate's recent return to session after the August recess brings renewed calls for action on important pieces of legislation. But it will take Republicans breaking from their party's obstructionist practices to affect real change for America.
Filibustering is a tradition in the U.S. Senate - but it's one that has been abused by Republicans in the 110th Congress. Republican Senators have already filibustered 92 times. That's not invoking a time-honored tradition. That's abuse.
The Democrat-sponsored bills Republicans have filibustered would have extended middle class tax cuts, repealed oil company tax breaks and used the funding to fund renewable energy programs, created timetables for withdrawal from Iraq, lowered gas prices, addressed global warming and reduced carbon emissions.
Tell Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell: Republicans must cease obstructionist filibusters, and take action to get bills on these issues passed!
PLEASE PASS THIS ON!!!!

What this administration and Wall Street have done is paramount to Domestic Terrorism. They have brougt us to our knees. Lets reward them...Not. People who have done nothing to the USA are sitting in GITMO this very moment while these Domestic Terrorists sit in comfort with the United States Goverment backing them. We are truly a sick country and unless We the People do something now this climate of goverment sponsered terrorism will only become stronger. People, withold your votes and your tax money.

I say, I may just have to set aside my matricidal planning for a moment and sign this petition. I have more respect for the family dog Brian when he rubs his rear on the carpet. Stewie for Governor!

To Bail Out or not to Bail Out, that is the question? If crooked Senior Executives and share holders walk away with unregulated millions, they will just go out and buy up all of the Foreclosed Properties that they are responsible for creating. Did they create this crisis ("The Shock Doctrine" in action?) so they could clean-up... Twice!!!

I find it very hypocritical that early in the first term of bush, when the dems were in the minority, the congressional republicans were threatening the dems with something called the "nuclear option" if they dared to filibuster the bills offered up by repugs. They cried to the media that "Oooh, they're obstructionists, they're playing politics, they're not allowing the work of the people to go forward." The nuclear option, though I don't thoroughly understand it, would somehow end the practice of the filibuster altogether, forever. And now those motherfuckers try to filibuster anything and everything brought to the floor by the dems. What a bunch of punks!
And shame on the dems for letting them get away with this shit time and time again!

Filibustering is part of our government, like it or not. If someone wants to do it, it's their right as an elected official. If you disagree with certain politicians filibustering, end your support for THEM, not the system.
By the way, I agree, no bail out.

...if I thought that my vote for anything would not just get thrown in the trash and have another tree go south....I would start voting and never quit....so I am going to go brush my horse.....in the end I Will have a clean horse....and only have to see one horses ass all day long.... politicians move slow and in circles....if you miss one they Will come around again and again.....they are like nipples on a male dog....I am sure they serve some purpose...just do not know what.....Golden Ruler...Will....

I am not going to cry hypocrite to my own Democratic party, but wasn't it congressional democrats who had the oversight. And for those politicians (i.e. Clinton, President Bush) who claim to that they were sounding the alarm were doing so to those industry special interest groups. Obviously these weren't screaming loud enough, not so loud as to be heard by the general public who will ultimately be the loser in this deal.
Now is time to lose the party rhetoric and hold those ultimately accountable; all have been tainted.
