Yes Dems made mistakes, but the the GOP has been in control of the congress since 1995. Bush/GOP has been in control of the FTC since 2001. Why didn't they, the GOP stop it?

That is a good question. I am not sure what the FTC, or the SEC do.
Apparently regultors came to the congress in 2003 but were shut down.
Also it seems that they needed 60 votes in the senate to change things.
I think it will become more clear as time passes
In any case people got rich at Fannie and Freddie pilling up bad loans. Some are right hands to Obama.
We should ask them to return all un-earned bonus while they were cooking the books.
We need to ask for accountability from all these people including Wallsreet

This is a joke. The Bush Administration not only did not warn Congress about this, but the used the O.C.C. to restrict states from regulating the trading.
