Post Turtle

A doctor, while suturing a cut on the hand of a 75 year old rancher, struck up a conversation. Eventually the topic got around to Palin and her bid. The old rancher said, 'Well, ya know, Palin is a "Post Turtle''. Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked her what a 'post turtle' was.

The old rancher said, 'When you're driving down a country road and come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a 'post turtle'. The old rancher saw the puzzled look on the doctor's face so she continued to explain.

'You know he didn't get up there by himself, he doesn't belong up there, and he doesn't know what to do while he's up there, and you just wonder what kind of dummy put him up there to begin with'.

I agree whole heartedly and would add that Sarah Palin is to McCain's campaign as the "Midget" was to Bill Veek's 1951 St. Louis Browns.

This is the election to elect the most powerful man on the planet. Neither party should be trying to outsmart the other - they should concentrate on the issues facing the USA and its place in the world.

You are not voting for the party that is the most clever - you are voting for the man that can lead the USA into financial stablity and prosperity, create world peace and arrest climate change. I hate all political manoeuvering - it obscures the truth which is all any voter wants.

Exactly! but I can only stand so much. I was watching Current TV for the biofuel info. and this rant just set me off and made get out of bed at 4 am and respond. Jessica couldn't hold Palin's purse. You are also right we are voting for the most powerful man or woman on the Planet and I need to ask Jessica a question. Would she let a 16 year drive her kids school bus? Would she let a Pre-Med student perform open heart surgery on her or a love one? Would she let me quide her up the Himalayas because I once climbed a tree? Don't think so !!!

I feel sorry for you to think that a father can't handle the duties that Sarah Palin's husband has taken on. McCain says Obama would rather lose a war to win a election.

I say the Democrats would rather destroy America than lose the election.

So I predict that tomorrows Bail out vote will fail as a result of this debate. Unless the Republicans band together and get the votes needed to pass it .Because as you can see in Jessica there is nothing worse than a scorned woman or a wounded Democrat.

Republicans can get anything right, they are disinterested in what we think or have to say, they can’t even get your name right. Their more interested in helping their corporate buddies count their profits and making sure they get bailed out when the bottom falls out.

How is it possible that there are people out there who would vote to keep this country on the same path to hell? How can you possibly vote for stupidity a third time around? Can we just split up into red and blue states and agree to disagree and let each side do as they wish. It'll be like a divorce where both sides leave on good terms. I can't fathom how some people can support Palin/McCain andi'm sure just as many feel the same about Obama/Biden. You can't please everyone and why make people suffer through someone they don't respect.
So let's just become The United Divided States of America (It's got a nice oxymoronic ring to it)

You could travel between the states freely, and each state would be governed by there own discretion instead of blanket rule, and we'll still trade with each other.... oh wait neither one of us actually produces anything.

Until then i'll keep dreaming of the day we'll have more than 2 choices to choose from
