Current TV partnered up with Twitter and displayed viewers' tweets during the live stream of the debates. We had a reception before the debate to celebrate the event.

Thanks, Mr. Gore, for your contributions to what is surely the most innovative cross-medium ever devised.
I'll continue to watch what transpires on current.com during these debates and offer my input as November 4th rolls around.
Sadly, due to a cable company that has no apparent interest (you suck, BTES), I can't enjoy current tv in my part of Tennessee which makes current online even more important.
To the staffs of current and twitter, much thanks and keep up the great work. -
Since Al Gore didn't get to be president like he deserved in the 2000 election, at least he's reaching the youth through current.com.
My many thanks to your contributions-

Thanks Al, I appreciate all that you have done for the environment and glad you have found out about this great new technological fun.
We met back in 67 at Princeton, while you were on your way back to Harvard. What a wonderful night of discussions of 2 young people. And to think I told you I thought all politicians were crooks!!
What did I know!! Watching you in the 90's reminded me I was wrong....there is one really exceptional politician. Keep pushing the boundaries on the environmental movement.-
