All in the name of god?

I was recently told by an Orhtodox Jew that the biggest threat to peace between Israel and Palestine is "born again" Christians.
Anything I have ever read or watched about the area, Palestinian or Jewish, is that the people just want peace.
It seems as though it is the many factions that are "in charge" that keep the turmoil and hatred going.

Jubal, I feel everyone thats wants to get along and leave each other alone to pray and worship as they feel is on the right track.also it makes no sense at all to tear down any place of worship espeically if it s going to create a WAR. one of the worse examples they will tear down a place of worship and put up a nite club in its place. what does that teach our children?I feel for all worshipers and followers of faiths at one time or another they have all been persecuited.however ,it seems some have forgot when they were persecuited. you need to bring your cause before the world court and the united nations.and will show the world that you are not the problem. its a tall order that shows your not the problem. sometimes this works

Keep raising the children from the different regions together and they will learn to love one another...love has a lot of power over evil...

I do not think this is a war of religion.
.. is a war for human dignity, is a war for territory, is a war against the oppression of the weak by the strong ... here has never intervened because those who had been attacked had no money.

This issue lies at the heart of the problems we have with the Arab world.

F7, there are people in this country who are fanatics just as much as some are in the Muslim world. They would like nothing more than to see their prophetic interpretations to come true and they have, under George Bush, gained a tremendous amount of power in American Politics. They have huge financial resources at their disposal and they use that to manipulate things to their own purposes. These people in this country are a threat to peace in the middle east, because their vision of peace in the "Second Coming" is steeped in blood.

do not dispute what you say, these things exist and I understand.
I think that might be misleading, however, see it as a religious war, and serves those who want to maintain the situation as is.
... the problem of those people is water ... (I do not know how much information circulating in the U.S. on this issue )
.. how much WATHER they have, the Palestinians; and how much WATHER they have the Israelis ...
    -------
... There are villages where these people live in peace, their children go to school together and study together their religions ... studying the two languages etc ...

You are absolutely right F7 it is a problem of water, and those people who are turning the struggle into a religious struggle are failing to see the true needs of the people and how they can work to achieve peace, if they really wanted it.

It is very tragic that people allow Religion to attain to a global agenda.

I stand for the rights of the Palestinians and their right to exist in an independent state with their own security and their own share of resources.
