Vh1 is no better. if they want to stomp mtv, all they have to do is show music videos.. Anyone remember pop up video???

This study sounds like a waste of time to me. MTV and VH1 have been absolute garbage since for the past 10 to 15 years.

I don't even remember the last time I watched MTV or VH1 ... if I really want to see a new music video, I just go to YouTube or the artist's or band's website. It is so much easier!

They are older than Def Leppard! Speaking of Def Leppard, take advise from them MTV. Its better to Burn out than to fade away.

It's really a shame...when they used to play music it was fresh, exciting and you WANTED TO SEE what would be playing next. These days, it's super predictable...it's like some of the radio stations too! They pick 10 or so songs doing well on charts and replay, replay, replay....Leona Lewis..prime example. All over the radio on repeat AND MTV....I check Myspace for new bands or YouTube to watch videos too! It's more convenient...and no fans yelling or obnoxious hosts!

MTV and VH1 are about as cutting edge as a blunt spoon. There's so many other copycat channels and of course, the wonderful internet, that this was always bound to happen.

Places band run sites or Youtube have the best online music video content. I dont want to have the latest boy band super group pushed onto me.

Radio is next in line if you ask me, as people have a huge choice online, either that or some annoying overpaid idiots who can never create a decent radio show.

MTV stopped playing music 10 years ago, lets thank Al Gore fore inventing the internets so we wouldn't be forced to listen to the radio if we wanted to hear the latest crap coming from mainstream music.

MTV doesn't even play music anymore. All they have on are stupid shows that I really don't give a damn about.

i want MTV to come to freeview but yeah i probably download most of my music via itunes or whatever rather than listening to MTV id go to current or youtube. I still want MTV to exist tho its gd :)

Mtv and VH1 are the epitome of poser technology.
They are full of reality shows (which kill brain cells), lol's, omg's, wtf's and bff's (which are testaments of stupidity) and product placement (which sends drones to the cell phone store). And when they do play music videos, it's a Kanye video (yuck!), shortened to thirty seconds. Even Mtv2 and VH1 are corrupted now.

Where for art thou - real music on television?

Music does not get ratings so they turned to reality tv. The young do watch these reality shows.

MTV is bull so is Vh1 these reality shows to keep people from payin attention to the real issues by numbing them with fake bullshit. Most Americans are sleeping while they are awake.

I haven't watched more than 10 minutes of MTV in the last 10-15 years. But VH1 I used to watch occasionally because it had more to offer, I love the 80's, etc...

But in all honestly I won't miss MTV or VH1 if either of them fail. That's what they get for becoming faux reality TV stations.
