Turning carbon dioxide into fuel

If they pull this off then coal might actually be able to be "clean."

Only problem is that buring them puts us right back into where we are in the first place:(

If they can figure out how to get THAT going sooner rather than later, less growin hole in the sky!!

This is what I think technology should be, using waste for something productive. Not using our planet as a sink!

This is actually fantastic. Can it be done to clean up the CO2 that is in our atmosphere already?

We need to take out LOTS more than we put in, and currently we have very few ways to take that CO2 out: Nature is not able to do the whole job without help.

i sure hope this works..alot of people forget that theres been a hole in the ozone layer since saved bye the bell was on.. and its only getting bigger. i hope it really is a breakthrough for the better and not just so coal can still be worth its weight.

This is definitely the way we need to be dealing with this problem. I see so many naysayers & negativists... ive seen people & businesses going nowhere & fall apart just because of this never ending negativity with no solution as an alternative to their bickering. I feel like bickering as well but we MUST present a solution to people who feel their lives & living will be taken away by global warming or by gov't encroachment. We need to fix it with real solutions... i have heard about this & i think i am optimistic about it. I dont think it is the solution but if it can demonstrate real change by a real VOLUME of CO2 being reduced and a practical by-product being created... we are in business.

I have heard theories of using CO2 to fuel algae-oil production as well. Algae is an awesome product with multiple uses for multiple industries being the result... i think i like it!! :)

Recycling is one way to offset our comsumption. This technology will have a LOT of uses if it's practical. If we could stop adding to the polution we've already created then that would slow down the degenerative process. Maybe even give mom Earth a chance to heal herself.
