Where do you really come from? And how did you get to where you live today? DNA studies suggest that all humans today descend from a group of African ancestors who—about 60,000 years ago—began a remarkable journey.
The Genographic Project is seeking to chart new knowledge about the migratory history of the human species by using sophisticated laboratory and computer analysis of DNA contributed by hundreds of thousands of people from around the world. In this unprecedented and real-time research effort, the Genographic Project is closing the gaps of what science knows today about humankind's ancient migration stories.

I've been a "registered member" for two years now, and am saving up money to get DNA analysis from one of my brothers and for myself. It is a fascinating project and website.

You do realize that your wife's DNA can only produce information on her mother line, and nothing on her father line, I suppose. This is why I am getting one of my brothers to submit his DNA so that we can have information on the father line as well as on the mother line. :)

Yea, I read that...Mitochondrial DNA. Sucks that she is a solo kid. We might have to get her dad in on this.

you have to go back at least 100.000.000 years according to the natural history museum in london...and then further back to come to the natural dna of a human as we now are...but its a great study...good but the link does not work above..could be Aliens..
