"On Election Day this November 4, PBS and YouTube invite you to join thousands of other citizens across the country to document democracy in action. Video Your Vote is a project designed to shed light on voting in America through the eyes of voters like you; and we're asking you to share your videos of your experiences on Election Day and upload them as soon as you've shot them -- ideally as early as possible on November 4th."

Sounds like one damn good idea to me.

    • It looks like the word is spreading about it so hopefully it'll make vote supression and misuse of the voting machines harder to do.

    • This could end up being an amazing historical document, as well as revealing to us outside the US who don't see the voting process first-hand.

Great idea - shame about the wobbly promo video!

    • Don't be afraid take pictures it's your duty as a patriot.
and don't forget too take pictures of the republican poll
challengers. We need the evidence of the evil doers.

    • "Video Your Vote" was just mentioned on "Bill Moyers Journal".
It was recommended that you interview folks leaving the polls to see if they had problems of any kind.
      I agree.

    • I want to add that, since all involved parties are claiming potential voter fraud for this election, it's in our best interests to make sure all local tv, radio, internet and print media are involved in thoroughly covering each voter outlet.
The more involved, the less chance of any, not so, "funny business".

    • i'd like the idea, but just in case if the FBI tries to find you, use a voice enhancer and wear a mask..police these days track you down for voting for this and that person....

Do you not think that would be somewhat counter productive? This whole idea is based on transparency of giving more facts about how people actually vote.

If you wear masks and distort your voice then it just gives an excuse for accusations of voter fraud.

If you have the guts to give the accurate facts and they still try to arrest you for them then that would be a lot bigger story to tell and more damaging to them than any excuses of voter fraud.

    • How about a Nixon mask? It worked great in the movie Point Break.

But seriously that is a good idea and would certainly be more conclusive than just exit polls.

    • Hmm.. sounds like an excellent idea, but I wonder, will this be allowed? Will the voter have to protest and make a scene to accomplish recording them voting...? I'd like to see this done.

    • They should video themselves voting on the touchscreen and which polling station and voting machine they were at and using - if there are any doubts about the results, there might be a base for setting things straight via these videos and their number.
