A View from Iran

When America invaded Iraq in 2003, residents of border countries like Iran wondered what would happen to them if the US ever invaded. Some attribute the growing nuclear threat from Iran as a response to fears of a US lead invasion. In response to Iran's uranium enrichment program, the UN has imposed various economic sanctions. What does this all mean for residents living under these tense conditions?

Golboo Fiuzi, a young resident of Tehran, Iran, sounds off about her experiences living in constant fear, and what life is like now. She also talks to fellow Iranian citizens about why they think the US hasn't attached yet, their political views, opinions about globalization and their lives under UN imposed sanctions.

    Thanks so much for this video! This is really the first video I've ever seen which shows what Iranian people are like, and what's on their minds. I think it's really important to see our similarities with people all over the world.

    Will the West never learn,sanctions hurt the ordinary people.Diplomacy not sanctions,Might doesn't make right.Don'T isolate North Korea,Iran, Cuba or any Nation it only makes them more defiant.

    I worked for almost 2 years with an Iranian couple at a well known chain restaurant. They are just regular people like us wanting a better life for their children than they themselves had. They live a very restricted life in Iran. My employees wanted their boys to be balanced by the cultural differences in the two countries so they chose to become American citizens.

    Americans are shown images not truthfully given from another prospective...what the Media say is right don't question it..n u will only be shown what we want u to see.

    Personally I do believe because of Iran's oil that they are target's for a makeover in the name of "democracy". The uneasy feeling sets in when considering the fact that there is absolutely nothing we can do but wait and watch.

    Look, when a country imposes sanctions on another country it means that negotiations have failed. The next step is to make the citizens upset and complain, pushing the government to rethink their strategy. After sanctions comes war. Frankly, by itself, Iran can't beet us. It will take the entire Middle East and Ruussia to beat us, which will happen, and we will lose. O well.
