Motorcycle Riders thinks they have been target.

“I got some complaints from some Old Town merchants,” he said. “When [motorcycle riders] come through there with excessively loud pipes we will put a few officers down there.”

“People need to comply with the law,” said Mayor Mike Nagger at the meeting. “Everyone is welcome who complies with the law.”

    • Oh no, it's the noise police! As soon as you can find a cop that cares, let me know. They're busy busting crack dealers or macing protesters.

    • if your local regulations say to keep the engines to a certain level, then do so....... its almost like a helmet law. looks to me that they only target local people.

      A helmet will save your life and will not violate the rights of anyone. In question of noise, it is not really an argument, it is more like an excuse and a trend.

      It is the same as;

      "I want to make everyone responsible for my safety."

    • Someone made this comment in a noiseoff group that I found very appropriate to translate it here;

      Now this is what we need in every town and county in the USA! Temecula police are not targeting local motorcycle riders. They are targeting local motorcycle riders of illegally loud motorcycles. But instead of temporary increased enforcement it should be permanent and routine since the noise ordinances and muffler laws are being routinely violated all over the country.

      Now, this is a comment worth reading.
