'Hack the Debate' creates Current-Craze at the University of Georgia

The event was an immense success.
There were over 300 in attendance, include many enthused current.com users and hundreds of soon-to-be current fans. Marah Lidey and Jillian Hershman- campus outreach representatives for Current were more than satisfied with the buzz created by their Hack the Debate screening on UGA's campus.

The event began at 7 p.m. with a phone banking effort held by the Law Democrats of UGA for Barack Obama. After confirming several hundreds votes for Obama, and raising hundreds of dollars in campaign funds, the food arrived and the debate was set to begin. When Hack the Debate first aired, many saw the format and were somewhat confused and warry of how this idea would turn out. Yet within less than five minutes after the screening began, everyone in the room was laughing and clapping in agreeance with many of the on-air comments. Afterwards, Current T-shirts and pins were given away and several students, teachers, community members and even city council members were inquiring about Current.

Here, Alicia Colemen, an attendee, tells us (and them) what Current is, and why she loves it so much!
