    • one of the side issues is the decibels that these boom cars put out has been in the range that causing hearing loss. That is your boom car imposing damage to persons. You would have the rest of society "bite the bullet" , ignore it, we need to buy ear plugs, be more passive. Why do you want us, who are suffering potential hearing loss so you can "bump" CCR. I think you just do not give a fat rats ass if what you want harelips the pope, to hell with everyone else. Oh, the gangsta groupie attitude befits someone of your caliber.

    • Jahvega----- I concurr!!!!

In all reality, is this really such a major problem they have to arrest people? Arent there other things we need to be worrying about rather than something people need to just bite the bullet and ignore? If people really hate "boom cars" that much they need to buy a pair of earplugs, or find a way to be more passive. This isn't a major issue today and yea it may cause violence in SOME cases, but racial prejudice, descrimination, war, elections.....all that good stuff-----those seem like mountains compared to an anthill such as this.

Come on people, who gives a shit.......blast your Bach and Beehtoven if you pull up next to a "boom car" blasting MC Hammer or Sir Mix A Lot......yall might have a good laugh. If the other driver looks like theyre packin, id say roll ur windows up and carry on. makes me wonder.....would i get arrested for bumping Creedance Clearwater Revival??? Theyre one of my faves!!! The way the cops and some citizens are looking at this, it reminds me of how the old fogies in the 50s looked at all the youth for a FAD in rock-and-roll and dance a thons.

    • when I lived in the city it was annoying to hear the boom cars go by and it was annoying with the boom boxes. When I think about it maybe it was the music. Would I objected if they were playing Sinatra or Pavarotti? Most likely I would of asked them to wait till it was over. As I stated before I live in paradise and don't have to deal with the issue so my input should be none.

    • This is just another way to arrest people without constitutional merit. Yes, we can agree that people should consider their neighbors when blasting their music, depending where and when. We should not single any one out for this, because I'm sure only certain genre's of music will be targeted.

    • I played E40's "White Girl" really loud while crusin; the streets. Got quite a bit of love from the ladies. I think tolerance will shift depending on the song.

    • COMMON SENSE, RESPECT AND COURTESY TOWARDS OTHERS- Is that too hard to do nowadays? I don't see how someone can not give a !#@* of others and drive thru residental zones with a stereo system that cost more than the car itself with the intented to be heard...

    • A part of the 5th Amendment of the U.S. constitution reads...

"...nor be deprived of life, liberty, or PROPERTY, without due process of law..."

So if the officer wanting to confiscate your vehicle because your stereo is too loud can legally act as judge, jury and executioner right there on the side of the road, I have no problem with this. If he cant, I have a big problem with this.

And remember, The Constitution is the supreme law of the land, it trumps any city ordinance.

    • I live in paradise, no boom cars, no teenagers, no airplanes flying over, only flaw in paradise is the trucks that pass thru early in AM and my neighbors dog who does his business on my driveway. We were planning on selling and moving back to the city but then thought of the crowds, crime and noise and decided four to six feet of snow a season is nothing. But I agree that noise pollution is as bad as any other kind of pollution. Instead of throwing them in jail, they should be locked in a room for three months and the only sound they hear is themselves breathing or else Tiny tim tip toeing thru the tulips
