Female Counselor Arrested for Sexual Exploitation of Boy

Diane Kathleen Oliver (aka Diane Kathleen Scott), a 32-year-old addiction counselor from Danville, has been arrested for the alleged sexual exploitation of a 16-year-old boy. According to local authorities say Diane Oliver, who worked as a counselor at Woodlands, a drug rehabilitation treatment center, sexually exploited a 17-year-old former patient from June to September of this year in "various" locations in their jurisdiction. The teen was 16 in June, when authorities say the abuse began.

Oliver was booked in the Des Moines County Jail on a Wapello County warrant charging her with sexual exploitation by a counselor or therapist.

The teen’s mom provided the Ottumwa Police Department with love notes allegedly sent by Oliver to her son. Also the cell phone records obtained by subpoena showed more than 100 phone conversations between the teen and Oliver in July.

Investigators, as outlined in court papers, said Oliver's "scheme of conduct" included phone calls, text messages, computer correspondence and personal meetings which consisted of "physical contact." Detectives said they found evidence that Oliver's alleged illegal conduct toward the teen started while the teen was in the facility, but did not elaborate.     This happens very often in social work. If an agency finds out about a worker doing something like this and they can bury it, they will.Otherwise it makes them look bad.Social work attracts predators. However the VAST MAJORITY of workers are very good and work long hours for little pay.I have know few workers who did not dip into their own meager incomes to help people and work many more hours than they were ever paid for.If only one bad apple every few thousand occurs, and they move around , they can do a lot of damage.

    Be honest a 16 year old boy is in many ways a man. In many states the age of consent is 16 and up. Look the fact is Sara Palin's daughter was 16 when she got pregnant but do you hear about her boyfriend be jailed?
    Ok, this is different she was in a position as a councilor that is something else focus on that not on just the sex offense.
