No... But allow me to share something with you. In Columbus, Ga. We had a summmer the Ledger Enquirer labled the "summer of murder" It ended the year with about 30 homocides... It began the year with a man shooting his girlfirend. In that "summer of murder" there were more crimes against WOMEN than any other crime reported. When they speak on violence against women, they are speaking on A LOT of other crimes besides, assault and battery. The number of women and young girls sold into prosititution are soaring. Females that are coherced into sex acts and or raped that end up with HIV is rising. I'm not saying women don't get violent. But there is evidence that shows that women are more likely to be the victim than the perpetrator. If you want to go Global, that is another issue. In Essence Magazine there was an article on the HIV rate. The men THINK that if they have sex with a virgin then their HIV status will change. There are thinking that it will purify their blood. Doofus... The CDC has made hundred of trips to those villages. They rape school girls and INFANTS. Infecting those innocent lives... There was an 18 month old child brutally raped by a man that had the virus. She will never be able to have children, her womb is a distant memory. Then the government had the nerve to Not want to give this child the AZT treatments. When studies have shown that if a person does not test positive and has had an encounter, this pre-treatment can and sometimes stop the virus. Why would you want to save a child's life? And that is not just happening there, it's everywhere. October is Domestic Violence Month, so instead of pointing fingers, get up and educate. Educate our youth, male and female. Educate our adults, and for God sakes, educate your self...

The video addresses the passive/aggressive nature of the worst offenders in a very compelling and accurate way.

I can't wait until we don't have a need for Domestic Violence Month.
There is a chance I will not be well liked for my next comments but...
It seems to me that women can counter act this problem. Not stop it entirely, but make our own impact. We are the mothers, teachers, examples for these young boys who grow up and become violent. We have the ability to teach them something different.
We have the ability to show them a life without violence. We must take a stand. We must not accept this for ourselves or our children.

Yeah, I'm not to keen on the "Against Women" part because it has been my experience that women can be the aggressor because they are assumed to be the victim.
There shouldn't be any physical violence period, but setting it up to make the girls the victim through campaigns like this creates a dangerous scenario for men who have are victimized by women.
Actually regjoeschmo forwarded me a current posting last week about a study that found women are actually the aggressor more than 50% of the time. Doesn't that lead one to have serious concerns when just highlighting the extreme examples of certain cases.
Of course every scenario is different, but labeling men to be the abusers just because they are typically stronger is wrong if you ask me.
Someone that resorts to physical violence to solve a dispute is making a mental or emotional decision to do so, and I dare say there are many bad women out there that feel they are entitled to hit when they are upset just because they are seen as the victims by default, and that is just plain twisted.
I have no doubt there are evil men out there that hit or beat women and other people too, but stereotyping and labeling everything based on the actions of a few is just plain wrong. I have seen women do some insanely evil and twisted stuff including falsely accusing innocent men of physical violence, and that scares the living hell out of me.
It would seem to go without saying that all violence is unacceptable and campaigns should be based around that tenant.
Is it any more acceptable for a girl to hit her boyfriend when she's pissed off just because she is a girl?
The problem lies in how some PEOPLE deal with their emotions and that isn't limited to one sex or the other.
If you made this same commercial along racial lines where would it be? True according to stereotypes but not true in reality? That is a glaring flaw.
I admire the noble intent of trying to protect those undeserving from harm, but what about the men who are victimized by women who are empowered by our society and the police stereotyping statistics like this?
