Heidi Klum and Seal say they will leave America if John McCain becomes President

Promises, promises, can we get that in writing? These two aren't even Americans to start with.

If you put a man over your love for this country, then maybe you should leave. Me, no way any one person or group is going to make me leave. And as far as Heidi Klum and her husband leaving, so what? They're important how?

Wouldn't it be nice if we all had that choice? Stop flaunting your escape money in our faces!

As much as people might like to frame this as an ultimatum "Get Obama in office or we're leaving" it's almost certainly nothing of the sort.

I think it's a statement of intent rather than a threat...

I think this is easier said coming from someone who isn't a native to this country but I don't blame her and I'd probably consider doing the same if I had the options available.

I will move if they win.

My wife and I have been planning our move for a

We may still move even if Obama wins.

I can make my own electricity.
I can grow my own food.
I can harvest my own water.
I can make my own heat.

I cannot provide myself with adequate healthcare.

If my government and/or country will not provide
me with medical care, I will leave.

I will never bankrupt myself for healthcare, no matter
how much I like the country I am in.

Whooptie freaking doo! I might miss Seal a little but I won't miss Heidi one bit. Good for them- they actually have the means to leave so I say do it regardless of who wins the election.

Seriously though, so many people I know are threatening to leave the country...nothing new, move along folks.

They should leave the USA and the contracts that they have here too! :)

The US needs liberals willing to fight for their values come hell or high water. Liberals who realize their responsibility to make things happen isn't culminated in a once every 4 years election. We can only make it happen through daily, weekly, monthly action. If you think your responsibility ends with the casting of a ballot, maybe you should leave. After you cast your ballot. Bye!

I don't like some of the ways the government is running the country and our lives either, but this is my home and I have freedoms here that I would not have somewhere else. I can't change it if I run to another country.

it's just a publicity stunt - they are banking on Obama winning. I bet they don't move anywhere, even if McCain wins and this will all be forgotten about in one months time.

But in all seriousness. As much as I hate to say it Conservatives do make a great point when they Liberals are quick to flee this country when the going gets tough. I know I’m guilty of saying (in a joking manner) that I will leave the country if McCain is elected. Maybe we all need to rethink that approach. After all this is OUR COUNTRY! Having citizenship should be like being married.

We gotta be willing to withstand the good and bad times. If things go astray we’ve got to be willing to fight for our rights and get things back on track.
