We're throwing a social media election party with Digg, Twitter, 12seconds, and Diplo, you in?
// Twitter //
Twitter will of course be a part of the fun, so tweet your thoughts on the voting experience, feedback on the polls, and other updates from your world with #current. If you haven't signed up for Twitter yet, head over there and when your done connect with Current.

// Digg //
Your Diggs, and your thumbed comments, will be providing some very interesting perspective throughout our broadcast, so head over to Digg's 2008 US Elections page and participate!

// 12seconds //
12seconds lets you post video status updates in...12 second snippets. Hence, their name! The community of 12ers are rabid in responding to questions, and posing their own, via webcam, so we'll be piping in a stream of 12seconds updates directly onto TV during our coverage.
What do you need to do to join in? You'll need to have a 12seconds account, and to get one you'll need an invite. You can head over to their site and request one yourself, or send me a private message on Current.com (or a direct message to the Current Twitter account) and include your email address. I'll get you up and running in no time.
Once you're all registered, visit 12seconds daily, answer the daily 12seconds challenge question, and get familiar with their service.

// Diplo //
Electronica mash-up is his middle name, and he's going to be providing the soundtrack to our social media experiment. Tune in to election coverage that you won't want to mute, as long as Diplo is keeping things flowing.
So, we hope you'll join us on election day, after you vote of course. Once you're all set up, leave us a 12seconds video response to this question:

I kind of figured you would be doing something like this for the election. With Twitter at least, anyway! Hack The Debate RULED! This will be fun!

I'm guessing this isn't going to be broadcast online too, is it? :-/
I'm at school and I don't get current in my dorm... I hate it! :(
Is there any reason why Current isn't streamed online? At least for live events like this?

Im in the same boat as jowe.
wish that Current could be streamed online because I don't have access to the television channel in my dorm :(
