Viral Video Film School: Campaign Ads

re-size
From state congressional races to obscure ballot initiatives, every political campaign no matter how poorly funded posts videos online. Brett rounds up the best and worst in a segment that will no doubt change political advertising forever.

Viral Video Film School is a recurring segment on the weekly television show infoMania. In each episode of VVFS, Professor Brett Erlich teaches you valuable skills in the discipline of Viral Video making. So sit down, take notes, and try not to piss him off.

infoMania is a half-hour satirical news show that airs on Current TV. The show puts a comedic spin on the 24-hour chaos and information overload brought about by the constant bombardment of the media. Hosted by Conor Knighton and co-starring Brett Erlich, Sarah Haskins, Ben Hoffman, and Sergio Cilli, the show airs on Thursdays at 10 pm Eastern and Pacific Times and can be found online at current.com/infomania. Brett, as much as I love you and your brilliant insight into everything political, As soon as I noticed that Tanya Chalkin pic of "Kiss" on your wall, I stopped listening.

    Great Stuff, keep it coming!

I love to see incisive and snarky commentary on the circus that is American political life.

The 'Trickle Down' theory presented visually as a Giant Corporate Executive trickling gas on the little people? Yeah

    Thanks, Viral Video Film School

    You have a new fan!

Brett, I'm sure it's out there on the google somewhere, but Yvonne Ward (candidate on motorcycle) was parodying a very popular Rainier Beer ad from the 1970s.

OK, it's still sad. But if she were making an indie short instead of a campaign ad she'd totally rock!!! Am I right?!?!?!

Wow V.V.F.S. was great today, learned so much!
Brett, I was blown away by your crazy-mad math skillz... and with the Spike Ball of transportation --

Well that just qualifies You, Brett to rule something big. Something very big according to your kick ass original mathematical theory.

Possibly the moon? Even better .. the BLOOD MOON!
Nice use of the sexy background chickie, I might have a set of twins if you want them, chickies that is.
