"Border Patrol agents went to check it out and Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine sent a helicopter, Lowrie said. They confirmed that the humvee was within the United States, he said. They spotted the humvee about one quarter mile east of the US Mexican border, which runs north-south along the Colorado River.
They were on the west side of the Salinity Canal, an irrigation canal that runs parallel to the Colorado River to the east.
Agents talked with the soldiers and determined they were from the Mexican army and that they were lost, Lowrie said.
They were apparently out doing military maneuvers and didn’t realize they were on the US side, Lowrie said."
So are we safer now in post 9/11 America when the Mexican army can accidentally invade the US?

NEWSFLASH. Foreign investors have been reported trying to purchase studio 54. The investors wouldn't disclose much info on their client. Except he loves Disco, young boys, and he is near 7 feet tall. The investor also was worried about recent attacks on New York. Saying I want nothing to interrupt my DONNA SUMMER CD. Reportedly the tall bearded man is a hell of a dancer.

Yuma is gross. They probably thought it was Nogales for awhile until we showed up. Oh Arizona, gotta love my home state!

Are you kidding me? Our military is knowledgable of all the military activities near our borders. If you're going to incite fear because of this then you've gone completely mad. Isn't it enough that this activity was engaged and felt with, wow they did their job. Can we focus on anything at all? And Do we really need to start up this illegal alien garbage here?

I think the Mexicans were out looking for terrorists. Who knows, Osama could be hiding near Yuma.

I just find it extremely funny that we've given up all these freedoms and rights in the interest of our national security; Bush, Cheney and the rest of the Get-a-long-Gang have said more times than I can count how much safer we are in their post-9/11 Super Democracy.
And yet, we *accidentally* get 'invaded' by another country's army.
Thankfully Bush allocated more than 1.2 Billion on that border fence or we'd be royally screwed; it seems to be working like a charm.
Maybe what we really need is a 700 billion dollar bailout of the fencing contractor....

And what would we have done if they while chasing a gang who had just shot Mexican police, had sent in 3 helicopters and killed 20 people including children?Would that have been an act of war?Would they have been justified. What a double standard Bush holds himself and our country to.Not totally on topic but the comparison just smacked me.
