FCC Vs. F-Word in Supreme Court

The censorship war rages on. The case will be made tomorrow to allow more expletives on TV, as well as the case to cut them back. Can our innocent ears handle more of the same words that adults hear constantly in real life? Or do we need our government to protect us from our own language and send us back into the past? George Carlin is cursing in his grave right now.

    • They aren't doing it to protect us from bad language! That's what's given out! There's no money in being unattractive! And there's no money in not responding to complaints! The big money movie and tv makers are telling them what they want!!

      But here's the thing!

      No one wants to hear Celine Dion Cuss! You couldn't pay her to! And no one wants to hear a woman cuss like a sailor in a weekly sit com every week for 7 seasons or more!

      You take an old woman like granny on Golden Girls and you cut out the cuss words! She still sounds like a Sailor but she's funny as hell!

      People want a conspiracy! The conspiracy is that they're trying to make shows that people want to watch or they'll go out of business!

      Different shows have different aspects that are going to make them work! And usually people don't want to hear straight cussing day in and day out!

      The networks may also want a regulatory reason to reject different programs that people want on tv. And why? Because they just want the ones that really bring in the ratings! Of course, they're going to cite social and moral right; it's a perfect scape goat for them!

      When you look at the big picture, cussing has little to do with it for all kinds of reasons! And by the way, George Carlin enjoyed freedom of speech to the day he died! He just couldn't say it on television! He may not have made much money on it! And, frankly, when you need to cuss to make your jokes funny, you're may be losing your stichk!

      But let's not get into the fact that he just wanted to be able to make more money and popularity! Money and popularity have more to do with setting us back socially than any other factors! It's all in what I just said!
