In a press conference held this morning on the White House lawn, President Bush formally asked the assembled press corps and members of his own administration if, in light of today's election, he could stop being president now. "So it's over, right? Can I stop being president now?"-

To all those that insist that he "destroyed our country" and that the decay of our economy is all on his shoulders, I ask you to look to congress, who is Democrat and who turned down a slew of legislation that couldve helped our country. Fannie May and Freddie Mac seemed to have been their best friends, as well, because no matter how hard he tried to fix them when they were about to collapse the Dems in congress insisted that there was no problem.

Please Bush leave as soon as you'd like. The sooner the better. We don't need to wait another month and a half to put Obama in let it be done with. I never thought I'd say it but I agree with Bush. Yes you can stop being King of America now.

Honestly, I feel sorry for him. He's had a lot of bad stuff happen to him that wasn't his fault or that he couldn't control. You can't just blame everything on the guy whose in charge.

You gave alll "C" students hope for a better furture, and taught them that "C" is not good enough.
For your terms at office You get a "F", you could at least stayed to a "C" rating.

Look George has as God for Help since he had his brother fix the 1st election. Hey I agree with George of this new prayer, we need all the help we can get, and if GOD could lend a hand that would be great, but it seems to me he has let man do as he pleases and the Republican Party has done the least to help the regular Joe in America and as far as Joe the plum-er, it seems to me that he sold out for the money and gave up working al-to-gather. But hey that's only a poor, white guys opinion.

I was wondering about this. Even though it makes sense that he'd be ready to get out of Dodge, he still knows he has a few months to put the final touches on covering his ass while putting the final nail in many policies. I wonder if he'll pardon any other duchebags on his way out?
Anyone know if he was successful passing that bill that basically pardoned himself and his administration?? There's many people who want to convict them, especially Bush, Cheney, Rove, Rumsfield, & Rice, But if Bush managed to successfully pardon them I'm afraid they might get away with murder, war crimes and treason and that would be a sad day for American Justice not to mention sending a message to future leaders that they can do the same...

Hate him??? Come on, this man has virtually, single handedly destroyed the Republican Party. Sure, it might have required ignoring the real villain behind 9/11, ignoring the real war in Afghanistan, starting a second war with a country that had done virtually nothing, incurring the wrath of the rest of the world and, letting his friends make big $$ while the rest of us go broke, but the man did effectively trash the Republican Party. I guess I should be fair, he did have help by the extreme right that has taken over the party.

Most of the "help" {??} came from Democrats in congress turning down every attempt he tried to make to fix this financial crisis that we're in now before it got to its breaking point.
And it wasn't Bush that did the ignoring, it was Clinton.
