A Korean woman has attempted self-administering cut-price cosmetic surgery, which has caused devastating permanent damage to her face.Hang Mioku, 48, first had plastic surgery 20 years ago but quickly became hooked, moving to Japan a few years later to pursue her addiction.
After multiple procedures many doctors refused to operate. However, Hang pursued and found a doctor who was willing to give her silicone injections and even a syringe and silicone supply of her own so that she could self-inject.
When her supply ran out Hang took the final shocking step of pumping cooking oil into her cheeks instead, bloating and discolouring her already damaged face.
One Doctor warned Hang that she could be suffering from a psychological disorder and insisted that she stop the cosmetic surgery – she did not listen to this advice though!
Several operations have tried to fix the scarring and disfigurement of Hangs face but unfortunately many have been unsuccessful.
Lesson: Despite the credit crunch, never opt for self-administering cut-price cosmetic surgery!!
How far would you go to improve your appearance?? I think Hang took it all a little too far!!!
