I'm so glad McCain suspended his "campaign" to rush back to D.C. to help push this rescue package through. I really enjoyed the 5 speaches George W.Bush gave in 7 days warning us of the pending doom. (If you don't see the sarcasim here, turn off the computer and just walk away.)

This is the result of pure greed. A few hundred thousand becoming stupid rich at the expense of the entire world. It crosses borders. No one makes such huge moves on their own. China is as much as fault as Britain, Japan is as much as fault as America. This is a global economy and the few hundred thousand people that got rich off of this massive failure come in all sizes, shapes, and nationalities.

And most of the "bailout" money will go directly to those same people. With zero accountability yet!

I really don't know what to do about this. It seems like we were all ignored in our cries of NO FUCKING BAILOUT! What do we have to do to be heard? I really could give a fuck now if this country rots, and the world enters an economic crisis...

    Wait.
Wasn't a lack of oversight what got us here in the first place?

The title of the post pretty much covers it. How much of this money will be left when Bush/Cheney Inc. leave office?

I volunteer to be on the oversight committee, but I need 10 million in salary to do it, and a guaranteed 100 million bonus on completion. I should be a shoe in.

I love "Fiscal Conservatives" and their supporters
Let's have them get us in a mess
Then use the same people to get us out
As if there priorities have somehow changed

Hold up Bansheewail, McCain wasnt the ONLY one urging the passing of this bill, I seem to recall hearing Obama pushing for it too! I dont like McCain either but lets be fair and realistic. Second, you are all complaining about it, speaking out against it, but voting FOR it. And dont look now, but they are not done yet. Obama wants to give away some more money too. After all, the auto industry wants their share too. When this bill came up the first time do you think they voted against it so that they could have time to add in some oversight? NO, they needed to add in some pork. They had time for that! And since they didnt find it necessary to really look at this realistically to find out how it happened before they started to hand out money, it is going to continue to happen. Just blame "those people" after all, they are only donating $10 and $20 not big money like the corporations. And now that other companies have been given the incentive to do the same, why not?.......

    Of course theres no oversight.
How would they be able to bleed the econmy of megabucks if the people watching actually knew what the hell was going on, or cared.
