Israel shuts down all Gaza fuel, food, medicine, and journalists not allowed to report story
No fuel (paid for by foreign donors) has been allowed into Gaza for its power station, no food has been allowed in for the United Nations' aid distribution centres on which most Gazans rely.
No journalists are being allowed into Gaza to cover the story. what are they trying to hide...it dowsn't take a genius to know. (more at link above) and......
Not even donated food from several organizations like the UN, ...
The UK-based aid agency Oxfam has warned of catastrophe for Gaza and nearby areas of Israel if a truce agreed last June is not maintained.
Oxfam called on world leaders to do everything they could to break Israel's blockade of Gaza and urged Israel to resume supplies without delay.

Blockaded Gaza 'faces disaster'

Moreover, Israel will not do anything to protect these people from violent jewish settlers. Only when they are caught via video and broadcast will they do something about it, and then its th minimum or no punishment.
The Israeli military has said it will try by court martial a number of soldiers in connection with the abuse of a blindfolded Palestinian man.
The video, broadcast by Israeli TV after being posted on YouTube, shows the man kneeling near a barrier being forced to repeat crude Hebrew phrases.
The military has condemned the behaviour, which it says goes against its core values and high standards.
Palestinians say contact with troops lead to insults and sometimes violence.
Notice they did not do anything UNTIL it was broadcast!
See here on this story:

Its as visable as black and white...the world needs to act now, or Israel will have its wish and there will not be a Palestinian living to tell the story.

WTF
-
these are the 'chosen' people?
not in any universe that i've visited lately.
-
Isreal reminds me of a twisted, spoiled, snot-nosed little kid punching bigger kids all day while a very large, ignorant, muscle-headed United States stands behind him and says, "whuuut".
I am so tired of Isreal. Soooo tired.....
-
The level at which the human race has demonstrated its inhumanity--- especially as of late--- continues to astonish me.
-
further signs of decay within the IDF. It's only a matter of time before they collapse or are overwhelmed. we'll see what china's influence does over the next twenty years. If the tribes were scattered to the winds again....i really wouldn't care. they've proven themselves to be little better than hitler (as in, their is no straight up genocide, they're just putting them in ghettos and denying them basic human rights)
-
I am not surprised.
Israel is out of control, they need to be stopped.
having them as a so called trusted ally to this country
makes me sick.If Americans had half a clue of the truth of what is happening
over there, they would not all blindly support Israel.
Not even close.I consider Israel terrorists under our American definition
of terrorism. No question. -
but is vangaurd news news or "NEWS!" they will get it someday somehow :D
-
this reminds me of some song lyrics by Peter Bjorn and John:
"lets call the whole thing off"
.... it sounds like all bets are off the table
-
Wait a G*d D*mn minute! Weren't we just jerking ourselves off over a solid peace argeement?? The Mideast Accord was a smoke screen for this bullsh*t. I say, we find our own oil, repair our economy ourselves and they can go f*ck themselves. All of them.

Just makes you wonder, who is really denying the holocaust, or the lessons of it?
-
Israel is doing the same thing to Gaza that was done to the Jews in the ghettos of Warsaw. How can they except the people of the world to stand behind them when they commit these atrocities? They seem to have forgotten the lessons of the Holocaust.
-
This is crazy, it seems that Israel will start this next Middle East Wars, which will include the surrounding countries and will expect America to save them. I hope someone bombs Israel and cuts of demand and supply to them see how they like it or even better. The UN should put sanctions against Israel, their government and people should suffer if their neighbors are persecuted as such, were has religion and culture taken these people.
-
I think what is really important to understand is that this is the fault of the Israeli government, not the jewish people. I am a jew and I completely condemn these actions.
Anti-semitism is on the rise, and I really wish the Israeli government would stop pulling this crap because it's making the situation worse.
-
So let me get this straight...
First the Nazis persecute the Jews, then the Jews persecute the Palestinians using the power and land we gave them out of sympathy for what the Nazis did to them?
This damn near redefines WTF?
<sigh>
You gotta seriously begin to wonder about the nonsense people are causing in the name of God.
I don't support government's based on "old school" religious regimes. If you built a government and social structure based on moral pillars of decency and kindness I would be all for that, but using ancient fairytales as the grounds for military destruction and ironic persecution seems like a recipe for failure in the long wrong.
-
Wow. This makes me more than angry, and shaybo I understand what you are saying.
-
Can't we all just get along. Get rid of Religion and then what will people fight about? Sports teams, a little less blood involved.
-
it's ironic that what the zionist movement set out to do did just the opposite. more people hate jews now more than ever. establishing a jewish state only created a nation of angry and scared citizens. although israel is known to be, by far, the most liberal democracy in that region, it behaves as a fascist government on its own people (if we consider the occupied territories as being part of israel/palestine as a whole). which is to say that gaza and the west bank is under the dominion of the ruling minority: the jews. it is much safer for jews to be in america than it is to live in israel for sure.
on the other hand, we have to admit that the jewish state of israel is in constant threat and that the wars set upon them in 1948, 1967, and 1973 are actually a set of continuing wars that will never cease until the jews give up control of that land. it is an arab-jew conflict more so than it is a question of sovereignty for either people, according to closer study.
any country at war will behave the same if not worse. if the united states experience a revolutionary insurgency of poverty stricken people continuing to attack groups based on race, the US government would also declare martial law and forbid any resources to reach the insurgency.
in fact, the US doesn't even need an insurgency to happen in order to quell any domestic threats, as we all have seen with guantanamo bay. the jews and the arabs are at war and its not about land anymore. it's about power and the ingrained insecure notion of powerlessness.
let us save the children first, somehow, through our righteous american jews and arab counterparts. then, we should hold accountable palestinian jews and arabs for any criminal acts against international laws of war. lastly, to stop the violence and racial crisis, we should relinquish jewish military dominance over israel-palestine and allow for a multi-ethnic, multi-national board to supervise the Holy Land.
(i just wrote a fucking essay, i don't even know what i'm talking about. i'm not even jewish or arab).

Is this the face of the new Hamas to liberals? Yeah? NO?
Anyone notice that that was presented basically ONE side of the story? That alone tells you that something is very wrong, and possibly not with the people that seem at fault.
Come on guys since when have the Hamas terrorist been kittens? Yet you trust them and condemn Israel when you don't even know both sides of the story.
From the story we do know only a few things:
The current round of clashes and rocket fire began on 5 November when Israeli troops entered Gaza to destroy what Israel said was a tunnel dug by militants to abduct its troops.Israel earlier denied entry to a convoy carrying humanitarian supplies. It has prevented the transfer of all goods into Gaza for nearly a week, blaming continuing rocket attacks by Palestinian militants.
Hamas responded with a barrage of rockets fired into Israel. There has been intermittent rocket fire since.
Sounds like someone wants the west to Hate Israel and the people who live there, and those people are truly innocent bystanders. So believe pro-Arab propaganda, or not. Find the facts.

how many jews strap bombs to themselves? zero
how many palastinians? too many to count.
if mexico or canada were using the transportation of civilian supplies such as food or gasoline to smuggle weapons for terrorists to attack us with wouldnt we do the same thing?remember israel gave them gaza with nothing in return as a show of good faith and the palastinians have used the land to launch qassam rockets deeper into israel. so they should help supply people who kill thier children with food and gasoline? whos lookin out for israel jordan?egypt?iran?syria?lebenon? isreal is doing all it can do to survive -
The posts on this topic have been one sided and naive. To compare Israel with Nazi Germany is a demonstration of historical ignorance. While I do not condone Israel's actions, there are two sides to this story. Hamas shares at least half the blame for the present situation. The real losers are the Palestinian people, who have alternately been abandoned and then used by the rest of the Arab world as cannon fodder in their struggle against Israel. It is a tragedy on all sides.

That is real bad
-
I think there is one important thing to remember about this conflict that many seem to be disregarding. This is a conflict that goes beyond religious ties. There are Palestinians who are not Muslim but are still ill treated by the IDF and settlers. There are also Israeli Jews who are against these deplorable actions and even work to raise awareness about the situation (i.e. B'Tselem).
As far as people claiming that this is one side of the story, I ask you: If practically all human rights organizations condemn these actions, is it still one sided?
For those interested more in the Gaza situation, here are a couple of sites that might be of interest:
First, from B'Tselem, The Israeli Center for Human Rights In the Occupied Territories:
http://www.btselem.org/English/Gaza_Strip/Second, from the BBC:

Remember when the Germans put all of the jews into Ghettos in Warsaw? Well why the hell are they turning around and doing that to the Palestinians? Part of my family is Jewish, and I am applaud at Israel for the horrors they commit upon others.

you should look into the reason this occurred. It isn't fair to only report on side of a two sided story, please look at the link, the picture skips the ad
