The space shuttle Endeavour left today (Friday) to join the international space station in ... well ... space. It carries with it 7 astronauts, on a 15 day mission to make the living space bigger; room for 6 instead of the current 3. It's going to be quite the party up there.

I love the space shuttle launches, the close views are the most incredible display of mans need for speed and the need to leave the bonds of earth.

Back on topic. Yeah for Endeavour! We don't get NASA TV here in the UK, but Fox News always comes in handy for Shuttle launches. Always in awe at this stuff, its just amazing.

WE need to increase R&D on space.

For only technology have we been able to globalize and achieve a better way of life. Also be it a means of mass destruction but with great power comes with great responsibility. (cliche i know)

Watched her go up last night, I always love shuttle launches cause I live in Florida, for when the sky is clear you can see the shuttle lifting off from almost any part of the state.

Imagine how much more we would be ahead in space exploration if we didn't waste money on wars and bailouts....

Nasa has announced details of a challenging mission to "rescue" the Hubble Space Telescope.

Without an upgrade, the multi-billion dollar orbiting observatory is likely to fail in 2010 or 2011.

They want to BLOW some government money, then lets get on the stick and FIX one of the

    BEST thing NASA has going.
