In regards to the pod on female genitalia mutilation, it is important that the people of that culture are able to perserve that which works for them. However, human rights must also be perserved. It is humane to be made a slave toward any cultural norms. For example, it is wrong to refer to America as a christian nation, jewish or muslim nation. Pain can be inflicted psychologically as well as physically. In essance there is exists an extremely fine line between cultural perservation and inhumane practices.
