Lean Cuisine entrees recalled

Image...
Recall on three varieties of Lean Cuisines: "Lean Cuisine is taking this action after several consumers recalled finding small pieces of blue plastic material."

Ew. I reported on the Hot Pockets recall a few months ago- for the SAME PROBLEM. Both brands are owned by the Nestle company, so there's a fair chance that other products from them have or will have some kind of problem like this. Stay away unless you LIKE plastic flavor!

How do bits of BLUE, not clear, plastic get into this anyway?

  •

Well, at least it's blue, which is not a natural food hue, so it's easier to spot in the meal.

(Blueberries are not actually blue, they are a shade of purple.)

This could be the new way to make them lean without raising the cost.

Seriously though, wtf. Between the hot pockets and this it puts Nestle's count on THREE RECALLS THIS YEAR FOR PLASTIC IN THE FOOD.

    It's just disgusting, I recommend a boycott.

Here's a link to all the companies Nestle owns should you choose not to endorse their business practices.

As you see how many other brands they own, the illusion of a free market once again becomes very clear!

In the 80s there was a boycott Nestle movement because they were selling bad baby formula in the Third World.

Maybe they just got jealous since M&M's went blue.

  •

Bwittany, you probably didn't get off so easy- Nestle also owns
    Kit Kat
    Friskies
    Poland Spring
Coffee Mate (goddamn it I just bought that shit today, DOH on me)
    Alpo
    Gerber
    Häagen-Dazs (that's right.)
    Stouffer's

    Just to name a few.

Hmm. It's hard to boycott companies when they own a majority of the options available, eh?
