she went to a turkey farm to pardon a turkey, well, there are other turkeys who were not pardoned. most of america eats meat, thats how we get our food, what's the big deal?

Where was gruesome? Get real folks, in order to have your prepared turkey for your Thanksgiving platter, someone has to do what that man was doing. Ahhhhh, now America had to see reality for once. Get over it people. Where animals are raised for mass consumption there is someone cutting their heads off draining their blood. Ewwwww, nasty, ewwww, I can't eat turkey now, ewww. And the guy who said he is embarrassed to be an American, well there is a cure, you can move. Whiners, all.

Hunting animals down, slaughtering them, and eating them is the reason we evolved such huge, powerful, beautiful brains. Not just the act of hunting - the nutrients found in meat are brain fuel.

All the vegetarian hominids died out after millennia of sitting on their asses and chewing grass. They didn't accomplish much, other than getting eaten by huge, hungry cats.

Embrace your inner omnivore.

Seriously though - if you're so deeply and outspokenly disturbed by this, but still eat turkey on Thanksgiving (or any meat, for that matter), then you are quite like the German townsfolk during WWII, who smelled the burning bodies of the people in the death camps, but pretended everything was fine and dandy.
