God is on his cloud and the phone rings. He has choices...
Do not answer the phone at all, whatever happens, happens.
Answer the phone, listen to the caller, but do nothing. Whatever happens, happens.
Answer the phone and intervene, manipulating space, time, the natural order of things, and the free will of human beings, and alter history and the space-time continuim. Now, sit back, turn up the TV, and watch a football player thank him for the touchdown.

I think we got the God idea all wrong. We expect him to listen to us, give us the raise at work, pick the winning horse or lottery number or let our team win the Super Bowl. The God(s) did their job created the heavens and earth, put life on it. Its now up to us to maintain it, improve it or destroy it. Which way we choose is the way the God(s) will answer us on judgement day.

God is at hand! God is nearer than hands and feet, nearer than breathing!
God is my friend and listens. I want to be God's Friend and listen. I will do what my conscience tells me no matter what because that's the only way to live with integrity and the only way to be real is to discover and live from the Kingdom of God Within.
He can't be found in churches with hireling priests, it can't be found in nature, he can't be found in the Bible, even. He can only be found by a soul who is dedicated to knowing the Truth and doing what's right at all times, even if someone else says it's wrong.
