Coming to your town would imply that GLBT people do not already exist in our towns. Unless you are in such deep denial as (see Iranian president's speech to U.N.) some homophobic individuals, you know that they are already in our towns. In fact they could be your friends or family. I still don't understand the difference between marriage and civil union. If someone wants to get married in a church that doesn't believe in there lifestyle that should be between them and their church. Otherwise everyone that opposes the GLBT community should get over themselves. The typical American family that we were raised to believe in does not exist anywhere except in sitcoms.
