A federal judge in Washington ordered the release of five men U.S. forces took from Bosnia to Guantanamo Bay in 2002, ruling that the Bush administration relied on insufficient evidence to imprison them indefinitely as "enemy combatants."
At this rate the US will need to find a new place to illegally imprison and torture the 250 inmates left at gitmo until they die.

As long as they don't come here. Where are they going, anyone heard?
-
I understand that there's an Asian-American internment camp still available in Nevada.
-
The thing is, I'm bored of hearing about this stuff.
Or exhausted. One or the other.
Isn't that horrible?
The US government is doing some evil horrible stuff to people and I've heard it so many times that I'm bored by it.
What does that say?
-
This is unbelievable. My whole life I was always tought how fair and just we are in the US. And now (after Bush was elected) all we hear about is torture of prisoners and illegal abduction and life time imprisonment of anyone who the government suspects may be a terrorist.
And now gitmo has turned from a navy base into a concentration camp. What ever happened to the right to a speedy trial? The government should take these people to trial. decide if their guilty or not and move on. -
First of all, for an individual to get that much attention from a president or from the government, means something is likely to be happening.
Please just give these people a trial at Guantanamo, if innocent, take them home, if guilty keep them there.
That place did get some bad press, but it's far from a concentration camp. It's just spin so that Obama will look heroic and have American support for closing down yet another important Navy base. As if Clinton didn't do enough damage.
