According to research conducted by the Imperial College London, boys born to women who were exposed to hairspray in workplaces had a higher chance of having a genital defect, called the hypospadias.

The scientists conducted a research based on the rising number of hypospadias cases in the last decade. They pointed out that a chemical called phthalates, usually found in plastic, and also in hairsprays was responsible to disrupt hormones, which could then cause paussibly cause hypospadias.

The study was conducted more on the effects of massive dose of hairspray then individual use.

Also don't worry people scientists say that they need further evidence and need to conduct more experiments to back their research.
