Obama names seven openly gay people to transition panels

As long as they are qualified individuals, I don't need to know about their private life.

psphenom, while I agree that someone's private life doesn't matter as long as they can do the job; I do have to admit that for this 44 year old lesbian it is nice to see that some of the stigma of hiring openly gay people to government jobs especially jobs this close to the president is starting to wane. It is also nice to see that their is less paranoia about being out, and being able to be employed in a highly political scene.

This information does not need to be reported. We all know gay people are highly apt, intelligent and evolved beings that are secretly running the world from behind closed doors.

This is news because while these people are apparently qualified to serve in important government positions, they are not qualified to be married, by some peoples' standards.

I guess when they have the same rights as everyone else, it won't be news.

It's sad that this qualifies as news . I'm sure some Jesus Freak will see it as a sign of the Apocalypse . I mean..the idea that you could actually go out and work for your living while gay and be qualified must completely stun people.

How many straight folks are on the transition team? What does it matter gay or straight??? I just want qualified people! What they do with other consenting adults is none of my business or anyone elses! Just fix this mess!

Probably more jobs, less homeless, economic prosperity, less global warming, monkey fuck out of office, less division, out of Iraq, increase in world unity and brotherhood, "Oh God," the terror these disasters instill are next to debilitating. They literally cause one to fall into total despair and anxiety.

Sorry, I completely overlooked the variable of the involvement of gays. I don't know about the Christian God as to whether or not he will overlook as I did, but I am quite certain the God that oversees all of humanity most certainly will. I am confident he is most proud!
