According to a phone conversation on Pete Tongs Radio 1 show with Paul Hartnoll at around 8.20 PM GMT Orbital are to headline The Big Chill 2009.
After discovering Orbital as late as 2004 at Glastonbury via BBC3 I was gutted to find out that this was to be their last gig. It did put me on to their music in a big way and ever since this I have hoped a reformation was to happen.
With a career spanning 15 years and productions Chime, Halcyon, The Box and Belfast to name a few it was always a shame to have missed seeing them live given that they were the music i was supposed to have grew up to.
So after influencing a generation playing festivals such as Glastonbury, Tribal Gathering, woodstock 94, and splitting up for the Hartnoll brothers to do their own things (ideal condition, long range). Orbital are back to perform "20 years after Chime" at the Big Chill 2009.
Get a ticket as you know it's going to be an amazing show, you never know MR Scruff might even step up to do a double act. :)
