I still don't get it. All they do is claim an international plot to 'implode' our finances (which just sounds barmy) -- what is the real story -- or is there one??

The real story is the privitization of our monetary system. The end of Federalized money puts our national defense in the hands of private ownership - our monitary ifluence is what gives The United States "power" in the world according to Reaganomics. This is fascism.
