spectacular! the reason the church doesn't agree is based on natural law mainly. which oh yeah, isnt based on religion. so check this, evolution tells us to further ourselves as a race reproduction is needed. this is to create a further supreme species, which to cure cancer, cure aids, find the ultimate renewable energy plan, may be crucial. by being homosexual you choose not to be part of this, making you a failure in terms of evolution and biology. which oh yeah biology is pretty big too right? it tells us that the one reason for life is to reproduce. so think twice before just judging people who don't support the destruction of a species by personal choice. maybe some logic is used, as well as factual background. p.s. dont bring out the "over-populated thing" because both logistical and exponential population growth curbs itself without the species curbing it itself. its been happening for a couple billion years.

you dont need to be christian to disagree with a practice that is detrimental to the entire population.

thanks for your time, closed minded gay-rights activists please let that sink in and think for once instead of blindly following a crowd.

and lastly, use your heads people. its basic science.

Had Christians actually acted this way when I was growing up I might never have left the church and become a disbeliever. People like these are the reason why I never say that all churchgoers are narrowminded.

This was created be TRUE Christians. Not the fake ones that do not read the bible and only blindly follow their minister.

I had a woman tell me that Pokemon was demonic once, she believed that simply because her minister told her to. She did not even know it was a cartoon!

The actions of the 5.5 millons Californians that supported the timeless definition of marriage to be between a man and of woman were not narrow minded, judgemental or manipulative.

There is nothing deceitful about Prop 8. It is very much straight forward.

This billboard brings a lot of questions on what kind of church is this ?

im gonna get flamed for this, but i wanted 8 to pass because if it didnt, it wouldve been possible for people to bring law suits against churches or ministers if they chose not to wed a homosexual couple, or a doctor for chosing not to participate in assisting a homosexual couple w/ invetro fertilization. wouldnt that be just as big of a encroachment on personal freedom as telling someone who they can and cant marry? had there been a law preventing that, i wouldve voted against it.

    flame away.

Wow maybe there is still a little of Jesus left in some churches.

Watch me get flamed for this, but I'm not espousing either viewpoint, just asking a question.
In the Bible, it says in Lev 20:13 "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death."
How can a Christian who believes in the Old Testament overlook this verse? It seems to me that any church who practices the Bible's teaching would be anti-homosexuality.
Please don't flame me. I'm really not trying to sway one way or the other; I'm just asking a question.

I think the fact that "the church" is posting this exemplifies the diversity in what is considered "the church." It's both wrong and ignorant to say that "the church" is the force that passed Prop. 8. Not all of those considering themselves Christians are in support of Prop. 8. Those supporting it aren't "true" Christians or any better classification of Christians - they're simply those with a differing opinion.

Too little, too late? By whom was the "too little, too late" to be done? This church or Christians in general? Is it even known that this church or other Christians didn't oppose Prop. 8 for the exact reasons this billboard says? It's an insult to those who actually attempted to block this unjust proposal and who also happened to be Christians or even considering themselves of "the church." Generalizing, regardless of the group, is never achievable and is nearly always offensive and incorrect.

Separation of Church and State is a two way street. Marriage is a sacrament of the Church. It doesn't matter Christian, Jewish, or Muslim marriage is Only between a man and a woman. That has not been a problem until the last decade. Marriage and society's version has been the same until now. You cannot have the government dictate what Marriage is, unless Government chooses to endorse a particular Religion as The State Religion. Bring This To The Supreme Court, I Dare You.

Wow. It's really cool to see a church apologizing and acting more like Christians by accepting others even if they don't necessarily agree with them.
