A very warm welcome to all contestants. Just a quick request for any feedback or questions you may have pending, we would love to hear from you and you can post your questions in this thread for a speedy answer from myself or Beta_Boy.
Another quick reminder that the Current.com algorithm (which helps determine the news) takes many factors into account when determining your items popularity. The key word in the recipe is EXPOSURE - the ingredients include everything from comments to votes to community reputation and story freshness!
Sharing activity is the key element, as this will get your story snowballing within the site. If you find a story you think others should see, send it to connections by using the share feature. You could also post it to Twitter, your blog, Facebook, etc. Get the word out and get people to vote and comment on the story and you could be on the TV sooner than you think.
Oh, and last but not least, don't forget to apply a minimum of six topic tags to each story!
