    • There is nothing more amazing then skill of a animal's ability to heal, teach, and love Humans Beings.
I'll have to see a pigeon in a whole new way.
Can't judge a man or a bird by it's cover.

    • I lived in a building in Brooklyn for a long time with a bunch of old italian pigeon racers who practically lived on the roof with the pigeon coop. If you've ever been to brooklyn, you can't go more than a few blocks without seeing flocks of them flying around rooftops in circles.

I've also noticed that every few years some white artist takes interest in this, makes a film or creates art about pigeon racing, there is a brief blip approaching mass culture interest in the "sport" and then it disappears again, for the locals to appreciate as something they can call their own.

Also one thing this pod doesn't really communicate is how awful the coops smell. I will buy anyone a slice if they can keep their head inside a pigeon coop for more than 5 minutes...

    • I loved this pod. I had no idea they could put a bar code on a pigeon's ass feathers! That was so funny watching them get scanned in! Oh and the high-tech ass scanner to say they are home too! WTG!

In my work with other species of birds, (large parrots) it's traditional to ID birds with a band on the leg. But the ass feather tech is so much more interesting! Way better! (she smiles)

Thanks for making this pod, very inspirational!

    • Now if only they could have pooping competitions with different courses and targets. 300 points for hitting the red Porsche.

    • Great story. It is an example of how people, still to this day, can be amazed by the natural world and respect it. Our ancestors probably had the same sense of wonder. I really enjoyed watching this.
