Joshua Grace was a Philadelphia bike messenger when he first gathered a group of Pabst drinking, bearded and tattooed friends to talk about Jesus Christ. From that original "cell" meeting, Josh's Circle of Hope Church congregation has grown exponentially, giving Philadelphia hipsters a place to pray. The Church has opened two thrift stores and this summer the congregation will move into a new larger church, cementing it's place in Philadelphia's religious landscape. In this pod, we'll join Josh as he moves the church, tries to maintain the growing congregation's close-knit vibe, and see how Circle of Hope has changed some of these young hipster's lives.

Great video about the Circle folks. They do great work and are a huge asset to the community in Philadelphia. Love 'em.

You just can't be cool and Christian at the same time. Become Muslim. The official religion of hip hop. You already have the beards for it! One God.

I actually stumbled upon this thrift shop this morning in Philly. These guys are awesome - that's not going to be the last time they'll see me there.

If you live in the Philadelphia area you should definitely go check out this church. It shows a refreshingly different approach to living Christianity.

When people don't put hands and feet to their faith, it dies. I'd like to see more stories on people living their Christian faith.

What's with the beards? Every guy in the vid has a beard. Is this a Quaker thing? Cool video, seems like a cool church, but the beards are creepy. Is this one of those micro-culture things, like, "In this church, the breathren doth sporteth beards?"
