Very sad story about a Woman who passed away and left 81 cats often but the sad part is she was married to the man of her dreams for 46 yrs.
There's Cyrus, who snuggles into your shoulder and licks your ear. Then there's Lovey, who lives to cuddle – and eat. And there's Mr. Freezie, fully recovered after being freed from ice last winter.
They lost their first home because someone didn't want them. Now they've lost their "mother" – a devoted animal lover who couldn't say no to a creature in need.
Sonja Currell collapsed in her husband Frank's arms a month ago. Asthmatic and 65, she succumbed to a heart attack, leaving her partner of 46 years and 83 cats who shared their Scarborough home.
Now, as much as it breaks his heart, Frank must find new homes for them. He's in poor health, having lost a lung to cancer and still recovering from radiation treatment.
"I never thought I'd have this mountain to climb," he says sadly, stifling a cough as he strokes a plump ginger named Brandy. "It was too much work for both of us. With just one, it's impossible."
Sons Frank Jr. and Darrin have been taking time off work to help with feeding, emptying litter boxes and cleaning the two-storey house and heated garage.
"We've spent evenings in tears thinking about giving up our mother's pride and joy," says Darrin.
