This deserves commendation. It is a very well-balanced presentation.
Hope author can do a follow-up. -
A wonderful insight and very well done. It was full of an enormous variety of footage that really exposes a questionable wildlife management policy. This is what I want to see on current.

Not nearly enough people are aware of this sad practice. These beautiful animals are part of our land's heritage; they were here many years before white people/Europeans came here to settle. How can we be proud to be Americans when we want to kill off everything that made this land so desirable to begin with? The cattle ranchers have more control over the laws governing the hazing of bison than any other group, including Native Americans, which strikes me as very wrong. These animals are mostly gentle and non-aggressive. It makes my blood boil to see what they have to contend with just trying to survive by instinct like they have for hundreds of years. Maybe if the people doing the hazing had to be in a situation where THEY were hunted and crazy with fear, they could understand the impact of their actions against defenseless creatures.

This is an excellent piece that does a great job of vividly documenting a current that has been running through American culture since Europeans first stepped foot on this continent. Very well done. Exactly the type of content I would like to see here.

People need to see how the buffalo that go beyond the Yellowstone Nation Park borders are treated. This film clip would educate people about how the buffalo are mistreated during their capture, and the abuse they endure being shipped to slaughter. It's an eye opener, and totally disgusting. This film clip should be on national TV so everyone can see what we're doing to a national monument, the original United States of America authentic buffalo. What a shame.

It is very interesting, and not surprising. This battle has been going on for quite some time. Of course, the cattle ranchers have alot more clout ($$$$) to fight The Buffalo Field Campaign. Bison are part of our heritage and should be treated as such!
I just do not understand why so many people have voted this video down.

national parks should be for the wildlife not domesticated animals
-
Disgusting. The bison were here first. They should be able to roam naturally.
-
That video was hard to watch. It was very upsetting. I am glad they are protected on the park, but it is hard to see them "hazed". And they shouldn't be shot and killed.
It looks as if the program originally had good intention, but is now just done out of pure ignorance and it truly makes no sense. Especially as so many other animals carry the same disease and go in and out of the park anyhow.
Yes, this MUST CHANGE.
Don't just feel sorry for them, do something.http://www.congress.org/congressorg/home/

Anyone want to help with a talking points type list so we can easily write our reps, and these other people that make decisions about the bison?

Very educational. People need to know how they treat these animals, how are they killed and the excuses behind all the slaughter. Good job!

This is a very informative film. Very important information, but it's just the beginning, just enough to make people question, "What is going on here?"
People need to see how these beautiful animals are being treated. One more inhumane act by man. When will it stop? Thank you for your effort, we need many more truth telling film like this one. -
I was there in April this year and met these beautiful people and animals. Mike Mease is trying so hard with his extended "family" to stop this killing. I attended the spiritual release of the bison with Chief Looking Horse. What a moving experience. I saw these magnificent creatures face to face and cannot believe what are government is doing. Please help in any way you can. This time of year is particularly hard . Redkioti

These magnificent animals like all animals need protected. Give them more room put the beef cows on farms.

This film shows the NPS for what it is! This should be shown on public television so that the American taxpayers can see what is being done to the native animals of this country. The rancher's are behind this slaughter! Thus is MURDER not mangement!

I was vacationing in West Yellowstone in May 2008 and witnessed the hazing of a group of bison back inside the park from the outer boundaries. At the time I had no idea what they were doing, but they stopped traffic for an hour and a half and finally we saw a large group of bison coming in. I didn't witness any mistreatment of the animals, however, I could clearly see that the babies appeared exhausted. I was saddened when one baby appeared so exhausted and disoriented, he was standing in the middle of the road crying and occassionally heading back into the direction they came from while the mama bison kept bellowing for him to follow her. It broke my heart. I have always been a wolf lover, but after seeing these maganificent animals (the bison) up close and personal, I came away with a special kind of love for the species. It infuriates me that the national park does not do more to protect them. I was reprimanded by a ranger for stopping on the side of the road to photograph a bald eagle in a distant tree. It is not I who is disrupting the balance of nature. It is THEM!
