It's a horrifying event. I have no real words of wisdom to add because I know political conflict and terror attacks aren't uncommon, but to follow hour by hour the events of what happened in Mumbai was really....striking for me. I felt that for 60 hrs the world watched the events go down in Mumbai, but few could stop the gunmen from killing. They killed almost 200 people and I think that this somehow could have been prevented. I'm just astonished, sad, and disappointed that these young people felt the need to resolve their problems with bloodshed. They had their entire lives ahead of them, they could have found a better way to make a change. Instead....this happened.

All programed propaganda to keep the masses "terrified".

It is such a devastation for the people of mumbai. What a shameful thing those terrorists did being they were in their early twenties and no matter their background they could have had so much ahead of them for any other path they chose to take. No matter their intentions they were in no way in their right mind. I have a friend who has family that was right by the attacks and it was mear luck they got away because they were next to a gas station that got blown up. It somehow becomes more personal when you know people that can be affected by such devastations. A sick motivation by twenty-five young men that need to be shaken back into the realms of reason.

There can be no justifiable reason for an attack like this. My heart goes out to the people of India.

Killing Time... I tend to lean to your way of thinking, especially after watching the interview with the author of "Confessions of an Economic Hitman", John Perkins.

I dont know what to say... but why India?
Is it because they're weak in "National Security"?
Is it because westerns are attracted to mumbai?
    Why India? Why now?
    and who are these groups?

    May God guide us all.

I feel for all people involved, but the really sad part is you cannot stop terrorism.

Maybe the only way is to have stronger consequences and extremely rigid laws, but that's equally as bad as the terrorist act itself.

I disagree with Condoleezza. The only way to stop terrorism is to go to the root of the problem. Why are they doing this in the first place? It will either come back in the name of religion (as it almost always does), or that they were extremely oppressed or had a rough life.
