Birth control pills affect women's taste in men

Image...
New research suggests that the contraceptive pill may be in part responsible for rise in marital breakups in the West. Pheramones help define our sense of compatibility with our partners, but it is now thought that the Pill may be turning women off more biologically compatible men by the hormonal changes it creates. This of course means that if women start or stop taking the Pill during a relationship, they may find themselves no longer attracted to the guy they're with.

Interesting article. I can see it now...... after a woman cheats on her boyfriend or husband: "Oops! Just blame it on my birth control, sweetie."

Could it be that she found out that he still doesn't know how to wipe his butt? Tire tracks is always a deal breaker for me, b.c's or no b.c.'s

Wasnt this story posted up a while ago on Current? I vaguely remember responding to something like this a while back.

Anyways, yes, the pill can alter your hormones but it doesnt control you...and if it effects you dramatically then you need to see your doctor to find out what is going on. Ive been on and off the pill and a dozen other hormones since I was 15 for medical reasons. In that time Ive dated a plethora of different guys. Some good and some bad. I really dont think my pill had anything to do with them and how our relationships ended up.

oh, come on. I don't think it can affect a girl that much. I went on the pill after my bf and I got together and I'm still just as attracted to him as I was before. I don't think going off it would make a difference.

I agree with some other posts, if it's affecting a woman that much then she needs to get to her doctor pronto and get checked out.

Hey, so if, being the father, I don't like the BF my daughter is with means I can put her on BC and she will dump him, right? Or does that mean she will like him, the article is kinda vague.

Don't think I'd want to take her off BC if she were on, then little tiny dorks running around the house that look like him. That's horrible.

By the way, again, our tax dollars at work. Some prof in some out of the way university just spend a couple million dollars finding out, nothing at all worth while because there was nothing definitive discovered. Well, there is our government hard at work. If Obama can stop the pork, I will like him forever.

I think plenty of men do an adequate enough job of making themselves unattractive to women without any kind of pill entering the picture.

I dont think so, women break out with men because they are hanging around with a bunch loosers.
All you loosers out there, change the rutine thats what is killing your relationship and another thing use your freaking imagination.
Thats why your grilfriend is having sex with your best friend.
    Wake up!

Pills for everyting, every condition, every desease, very easy to take, nobody knows exactly how it affects you in a long run. Do we know how it affects the future generation? You bet, we do not.
