It seems that after all prostitution is not immune to the economic slump, which has already hit various industries.
Prostitution worldwide has been hard hit due to recession. One reason is because sex industries also partly rely on foreign tourism, and since fewer tourists are traveling they are feeling the pinch too, resulting in laying off of prostitutes.

Or maybe supply is going up as so many people now cant even afford basic shopping, or their gas bill.
