I forsee all Harley riders ten abreast parading up and down New York streets for days on end stating their protest. I agree that they some bikes are extremley noisy and that is one reason why they are bought by the riders.
Many years ago I had Triumph Tiger 100 then a Thunderbird and was a bit of an idiot I must admit, often when riding I would press then release the cut out button and then the gases would ignite in the exhaust system and give out a loud bang. I stopped doing this when I blew out the exhaust pipe
However the Triumphs and BSA`s I owned were relatively quiet machines compared with the Harley with the exception of one bike I had a BSA 500 single pot Gold Star Clubman That sounded and went like a bat out of hell
Motor Bikes are not the only noisy machines on the road but sadly noise is always on the increase and legislation should start with the manufacturers of all vehicles
