Obama Frightens Schoolchildren

While answering questions from a group of school children, Obama let it slip to them that he was thinking about longer school days. Not exactly the best thing to say to a group of schoolchildren.

    • Sure. Longer school days. Why not take away holidays and give 'em extra homework too?

If I were a kid, I'd learn a lesson from this: "Don't believe everything you see on TV."

    • aren't we lagging behind every other industrialized (developed, first world, whatever) country?

and maybe some of the not so developed?

it's a lot scarier to consider them not being able to do simple algebra after graduating from high school no?

    • Better idea, don't try out your new ideas that kids will not like for obvious reasons with kids.

Try instead talking about starting school later in the day. That way children are more rested and can better process more of the information that they learn.
