More remains found; 1st tip about site came in August

New bones were discovered Thursday on a wooded lot where Orange County investigators found a skull and other skeletal remains a week ago, the sheriff's office said.

Sheriff's Capt. Angelo Nieves said the new bones were found on the perimeter of the search area off Suburban Drive where investigators and crime-scene technicians have been working since last week.

Investigators have suggested the remains could be those of missing toddler Caylee Marie Anthony, who disappeared in June.

The sheriff's spokesman also made a surprise announcement that the utility worker who reported finding the remains last week also made calls to authorities on three days in August.

    • Today DNA confirmed that the body was indeed Caylee. A sad end to the search for her. A Great beginning to the start of the prosecutions case. The Media is busy playing both sides of the fence, trying to keep this money making tragedy going as long as possible. This trial is going to be BIGGER than the OJ Simpson trial for the media. Today again they try to create doubt in the public's collective mind. Wonder if they would do that if the murderer was a unattractive homeless man instead of a promiscuous 20 year old white girl?

    • After reading the entire article it may seem unusual to some. To me it sounds as if he was listening to his inner voice, or responding to an increased awareness in the area the child was in.

      Unless you are spiritual it is hard to explain how you can have a reaction to something that you don't know exactly what it is you are reacting to. I've learned it is always a good idea to react and not ignore.

      Remember mom's trunk stunk of death! This was done in mom's trunk. I think she chloriformed the child to sleep so she could party. Over did it a bit and has been back stroking to cover it up since.

      Because the hurricane came through and that entire low land swampy area was covered with water and so it was not searched. Only now is it drying up. Which would explain the bones being spread around the entire area and not confined in the bag.
