Out with the old and in with the new. As the most unpopular president in US history prepares to leave the White House, comic Kate Clinton is making sure that the bad spirits go with him.     • How ridiculous to say that saging the White House is insulting or disrespectful to Native Americans!

      Smudging, the use of :"sacred smoke" to cleanse negative energies, is a time honored custom in many parts of the world. Even the Church uses incense to cleanse their sanctuaries. Sage just happens to be the plant used in parts of the North American continent, because it's a native plant. Other places use other plants.

      Many of them told Ms. Clinton so and her reaction was to censor thier outrage!
      This type of minstrel show is inappropriate.
      We are a collective of Native people who are asking everyone, out of respect to Native people, not to participate in this event.
      Cultural misappropriation is racism.
      This must end.
